Breaking News! Jewish Film-makers and Activists Released from Ilegal Captivity Nigeria

07/28/21: The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is relieved that Rudy Rochman, Andrew Noam and Edouard David Benaym have been officially released by the Nigerian Government DSS' (Secret Service). They are scheduled to land in Israel on Friday, July 29th in the morning.

In a press release put out by the "We Were Never Lost" documentary team, the three Jewish men were "wrongfully taken on Friday July 9th, 2021". There were "caged and held for 20 days in horrendous conditions, locked into a small cell, sleeping on the floor with no access to showers or clean clothes. They were interrogated and mistreated without ever officially being arrested or accused of anything" said the statement.

"Over the last few weeks, I had communication with Rudy's family members about providing assistance and support. I expressed the AGPI community's solidarity with the three captives and their families. Having previously spoken with Rudy about this film and its importance, their incarceration by the Nigerian government is outrageous and has no merit" said Avi Abraham Benlolo, AGPI's Founder and Chairman.

AGPI will be investigating this incident further and be calling on the international community to hold the Nigerian government to account. At the very least, Nigeria should be placed on a No-Fly list for foreigners until a further investigation is held.
