Former Israel Vice Prime Minister and Current Deputy Mayor Joins AGPI's International Board

07/26/21: As it continues to build momentum internationally, The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) is pleased to welcome two distinguished Israeli leaders to its international board. Lt. General "Bogie" Ya'alon and Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum will be joining the already distinguished board.

General Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon has served Israel with distinction. As Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Strategic Affairs, Minister of Defence, Chief of Staff (head of IDF) and most recently a key leader of the Blue and White and Telem parties, Ya'alon served in the Knesset between 2009 - 2016 and between 2019 - 2021. Ya'alon has dedicated a lifetime of public service to the State of Israel. Gen. Ya’alon studied at the British Army’s Camberley Staff College and earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Haifa.


Fleur Hassan-Nahoum serves as deputy mayor of Jerusalem in charge of foreign relations, international economic development, and tourism. She is a cofounder of the UAE-Israel Business Council, an association of Emirati and Israeli business and government leaders fostering bilateral trade, innovation, and cooperation. Fleur was born in London, grew up in Gibraltar, and immigrated to Israel in 2001.

AGPI is a new Canadian based global human rights organization that promotes peace and defends freedom and democracy. It counters Antisemitism and discrimination; focuses on Holocaust remembrance and distortion; stands up for Israel and Canada in the court of public opinion and speaks out for universal human rights. AGPI is based on the guiding values, principles and philosophies of its founder, Avi Abraham Benlolo.
